July is Minority Mental Health Month! Join the Greater Pearland Area Chapter of The Links for a Women's Wellness Experience in Yoga.

The Greater Pearland Area Chapter is launching its "Mindfulness Matters Series". This is a series of information and experiences aimed at promoting mental wellness in women. The first event of the series is a virtual Yoga class.Yoga is a spiritual, mental and physical practice that has been around since ages. With time, people have discovered a number of health benefits associated with yoga. Yoga does more than burn calories and strengthens muscles, it is a full body workout which involves both body and mind.Benefits of Yoga:Yoga improves flexibility, builds strength and increases muscle tone and definition. It also improves balance, supports joint health, prevents back pain, increases lung capacity. It fosters mental clarity and focus and reduces anxiety.
