Dedicated to sustaining the great tradition of promoting art, training emerging artists and enriching lives in the San Francisco Peninsula since 1921, the Pacific Art League currently enrolls over 2,500 students of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels in classes taught by a faculty of 40+ experienced artists. Our online gallery showcases several exhibits a year, including an annual anniversary show juried  by local artists.

Pacific Art League Presents: &quot;Revolutions in Art: Impressionism&quot;, By Bruce Elliott, Ph.D.*************************Revolutions in Art have occurred when a generation of artists arises yearning to give creative expression to new orientations that are more relevant for their times. In late 19th century Paris, Impressionist painters took on the prestigious Academie des Beaux-Arts, mounting a campaign for artwork rooted in the experience of ordinary life. This illustrated presentation will highlight the groundbreaking work of the four leading lights of Impressionism: Manet, Renoir, Monet, and Degas.About Bruce Elliott, Ph.D. Bruce Elliott, Ph.D. UC Berkeley - Along with teaching cultural history for UC Berkeley and Dominican University, Professor Elliott has given numerous art history classes for Stanford&#x27;s Continuing Studies Program, currently giving a course entitled “Masterworks: Uncovering Hidden Meaning within Great Paintings”.About Pacific Art LeagueDedicated to sustaining the great tradition of promoting art, training emerging artists and enriching lives in the San Francisco Peninsula since 1921, the Pacific Art League currently enrolls over 2,500 students of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels in classes taught by a faculty of 40+ experienced artists at its downtown Palo Alto location.
