Each year, we host an Emerging Leaders' Retreat for early career professionals to learn about leadership and get inspiration from life stories of others. The retreat includes a panel discussion followed by a social activity and networking event with Houston leaders. <ul><li>Afternoon activity session with the Speakers and OPEN Houston Charter Members! </li><li>Admission is $30 for Young Professionals and Students (Under 30) and $50 for Senior Leaders and Coaches. A ticket and includes breakfast, lunch and 4 hours of activity and networking.</li></ul>

Farah Ahmed is a Managing Director &amp; Partner in Boston Consulting Group’s Houston office. She has been with BCG since 2015 and specializes in energy and other B2B industries in several topics including strategy, commercial growth, sales, marketing, and change management. She helps lead BCG Houston’s Social Impact work in food banks across North America and local Houston institutions such as Houston Food Bank, of which she became a member of the board in 2024, and United Way of Greater Houston. She has led efforts internally related to career development, Women@BCG, and the Asian Diversity Network. Prior to BCG, Farah worked for BP, supporting assets in North America and Brazil. Farah received her MBA from Harvard Business School in 2015 and BBA in Corp Finance from UT Austin in 2010. She has three children (5, 3, 6 mo.) and loves every minute with her high energy crew!Omer F. Sultan is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is responsible for setting the strategic direction for MD Anderson’s long-term financial goals and has accountability for the financial operations of Corporate Accounting &amp; Finance, Treasury, Financial Planning &amp; Analytics, Revenue Management, and Supply Chain and Sourcing. Omer served as System Vice President of Finance at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago, an 11-subsidiary academic health system, where he spent 14 years in various finance executive roles. He directed integration efforts during the system's expansion, including physician compensation alignment and labor productivity optimization, while managing revenue growth initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and strategic planning. Omer earned a Master of Health Administration from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science from Benedictine University in Illinois. He is on the Board of Trustees of Benedictine University and an active alumni member at Cornell, having co-founded an endowed scholarship and serving as a mentor for students who are interested in healthcare administration. In 2019, he received the Chicago United Business Leaders of Color Award and is also a member of the British American Project (BAP). Kulsoom Meghani is a Commercial Banker in the Commercial &amp; Investment Bank for JP Morgan Chase. She’s been with the firm for 7 years with an extensive background in cash management, liquidity/yield strategy and lending for Middle Market companies. With her passion for Mental health, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Kulsoom serves on the board for two internal JP Morgan councils, dedicated to opening up tough dialog through conversations. She plans to do the same with her Executive chair position on the South Asian Chamber of Commerce. In her spare time, she is a mom to two British Shorthair cats that she adopted with her husband. Chris Raff is the Chief Financial Officer at Medical Informatics Corp. (MIC), overseeing financial strategy and operations to drive growth and sustainability. He has worked alongside the CEO to raise $39 million in funding and scaled the team to 70+ employees while managing operational systems, processes, and HR. Previously, he led risk modeling for large capital projects and co-founded an award-winning process improvement team at Jacobs Technology, working with NASA. Chris holds an MBA in Finance from Rice University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee. When not focused on transforming healthcare, Chris is a dedicated father, often found chasing after his two daughters.Omar Khan has worked with 10 very different employers in just under 20 years of professional life. From Management Consulting with McKinsey in the Middle East, Africa and Pakistan, to managing a team of dozens at an Industrial Supplier in Ohio, to business development for a Portuguese Fischer-Tropsch fuels start-up, to leading a digital transformation program in upstream oil &amp; gas, to consultative selling in enterprise software, Board roles with a Refugee Resettlement non-profit, and more. He is currently VP of Strategic Programs at Avetta, a supply chain risk management SaaS company. Omar received his BA in Economics from Harvard College in 2006. He resides with his lovely wife and two kids (ages 9 and 6) in Katy TX.Arham Junaid is a global citizen who has lived in 5 different countries across Asia Pacific, the Middle East and here in the US. He started his career as a Sergeant firefighter in Singapore. That was followed by a few engineering roles including a stint with Tesla before he joined McKinsey where he served clients across varying industries on growth, strategy and digital topics. Arham is currently a Global Principal at KFC where he oversees the mandate of growing digital transactions globally across 30,000 restaurants in 150 countries. He’s also incredibly passionate about mentorship and has spoken at universities and organizations around the world on the topic.
