<h3><strong><strong>Becoming a Certified Small Business or DVBE</strong></strong></h3><p>In partnership with the CA Department of General Services, PACE is hosting this in-person workshop designed to equip small business owners with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to succeed in government contracting and procurement opportunities with the State of California.</p><p>Small Business (SB) certification &amp; Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) certification to open doors to exclusive benefits.</p><h4><br></h4><h4><strong><strong>Participants will need to bring/have available electronically (either on a USB or on their laptop) copies of the following for the event to get certified:</strong></strong></h4><ul><li>Laptop (iPads and cell phones are usually too small for the process).</li><li>Internal Revenue letter issuing Employer Identification Number (EIN).</li><li>Federal (not state) tax returns for the last three years (or for the period your business has been operational if less than three)If your company is a sole proprietorship, bring personal Federal tax returns for the last three years.</li><li>California Employment Development Department Forms DE-9C records for the four most recent quarters.</li><li>Licenses (if applicable), such as Business License, CSLB License, Resellers Permit, etc.</li></ul><p><br></p><h4>Additionally, please bring the following Legal Entity Documents:</h4><ul><li><em><em>Sole Proprietorship/Partnership</em></em>: Fictitious Business Name Statement / Partnership Agreement (if applicable)</li><li><em><em>LLC</em></em>: Articles of Organization / Statement of Information / Operating Agreement</li><li><em><em>Corporation</em></em>: Articles of Incorporation / Statement of Information / Corporate Bylaws and Amendments; A most recent copy of Corporate Meetings Minutes showing the election of officers</li></ul>
