Treating Patients with Special Needs or Disabilities Zoom Webinar/ Panel of speakers We do not know what it is like to be blind, hearing impaired, living with autism, navigating daily in a wheelchair, and many other challenges faced by some on a daily basis. There are many patients who have special needs, challenges, disabilities. Many dentists and their staff have no personal experience with direct interaction with individuals who require extra help to deal with the physical and metal challenges for an effective dental appointment. If you're assisting or working with someone with additional needs, learning to effectively provide assistance is extremely beneficial to the individual, and offers huge benefits to workplace/interpersonal dynamics of you and your staff. Here from our wide panel to learn suggestions, simple office accommodations, where to find facts sheets and more resources, and how to improve the patient experience.
