“What the heck is AI and What Can it Do for My Business?” AI is exciting, confusing and scary all at the same time. For people starting a business or managing an existing one, the decision to embrace AI or not could be one of the most critical decisions they make. Nathan and David will attempt to demystify AI and provide a way to evaluate if AI is right for your business. Nathan Crock, Director of NewSci Labs. For the past 10 years Nathan Crock has been researching and advancing the field of machine learning. He has worked with numerous companies and organizations including The Max Planck Institute, Facebook, and NASA. Utilizing his past experience as a data science instructor, he is a key figure in the deep learning community of Tallahassee where he gives lectures and organizes tutorials, workshops, and conferences such as <a href="https://mlx.sc.fsu.edu/2019/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">https://mlx.sc.fsu.edu/2019/</a>. As Director of the Intelligence Lab at the Florida State University Department of Scientific Computing, he maintains strong academic ties and works closely with researchers and students alike.David Lawson, Co-Founder &amp; CEO of NewSci, LLC. David has over 25 years of experience developing and delivering technology solutions. David is a leader in the AI for Good movement, and is the author of Big Good: Philanthropy in the Age of Big Data &amp; Cognitive Computing. He has managed the successful development and deployment of cloud-based applications including the first data analytics platform for the nonprofit and educational sectors, and the first AI for Good application built on IBM Watson.
