<p>Exploring the complex bond between people and the natural environment reveals how social, cultural, and personal experiences shape both the opportunities and challenges of this connection. Westminster University, uniquely situated in Utah—a region celebrated for its breathtaking landscapes and outdoor recreation—leverages its commitment to outdoor leadership and education to spark dialogue about access, inclusion, and belonging in environmental spaces with the ultimate goal of enhancing health and well-being for all.    </p><p>As the keynote for Westminster’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Week, Carolyn Finney, PhD, brings a compelling blend of academic insight and real-world advocacy as a storyteller, author, and cultural geographer to this capstone event. Her work champions environmental justice by amplifying diverse voices and perspectives and fostering inclusive policies and practices. </p>
