Advanced Motivational Interviewing (August 13, 2020)

Dr. Kate Watson is the Founder and President of the Advocacy Academy.  She holds a doctorate in Health Policy and Social Justice from Drexel University, a graduate degree in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University, and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Towson University.  Dr. Watson sits on the Board of Directors for the Lady Parts Collection, a Los Angeles-based theater company focused on theatrical works relevant to women.  She is a Director Emeritus for the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers.  Dr. Watson trains over 2,000 thousand people each year, including individuals from 20 states and 8 countries, the NFL, the Department of Defense, and several major television networks.

This workshop is for professionals (of any discipline) who already practice MI skills in their work.

This workshop is for professionals who already practice MI skills in their work. Participants in this training will have the opportunity to discuss their clinical challenges, to receive feedback on their skills from peer learners, and to find one’s own voice within the style of Motivational Interviewing.This ticket is non-refundable, unless cancelled by the organizer. If the event is cancelled, ticket fees will be refunded. This ticket is also non-transferable to another workshop date. If you do not attend this workshop, you forfeit the costs.The Instructor cannot directly award continuing education credits for this workshop. Most participants receive continuing education credits by applying directly through their professional accrediting bodies. The instructor recommends that you seek guidance from your accrediting body if you wish to pursue this. In the event that you decide to apply for continuing education credits through your accrediting body, the instructor can assist you by providing required documentation (certificate, agenda, power point slides, resume of the presenter, etc.).
