This patriotic light show in celebration of the July 4th holiday will be a  COVID-19  conscious, drive-through-only event for $10 a vehicle.

Westerville Athletic Complex

Presented by the City of Westerville and the Rotary Club of Westerville, in partnership with Butch Bando's Fanstasy of Lights, the Lights of Liberty patriotic light show in celebration of the Fourth of July holiday will be a COVID-19 conscious, drive-through-only event that will help our service club raise charitable funds. It will run evenings (approximately 9 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.) from Wednesday, July 1, 2020 through Sunday, July 5, 2020 .  Attendees will tune into a dedicated radio station and drive in their cars through a digital light show synchronized to music. Enter off Cleveland Avenue at the Sports Complex entrance.THANK YOU to our major sponsors: The City of Westerville, Mount Carmel-St. Ann's Hospital, 104.9-FM The River, Pinnacle CPA Advisory Group and United Midwest Savings Bank.The Rotary Club of Westerville for more than 40 years has been staging Westerville's Independence Day Celebration. In recent years activities have included our morning 5K Walk/Run, our State Street Parade at 1 p.m., our late afternoon Free Concert and Food Truck Festival, and the big Fireworks Show at 10 p.m. Unfortunately due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and public gathering restrictions, all of these activities had to be canceled or postponed this year. The Lights of Liberty show is the one activity we are able to bring to the community this year. It will be a properly socially distanced event and we hope, a wonderful patriotic experience for residents even in these unprecedented times of 2020.Proceeds after costs of staging the attraction will be shared with <a href="https://www.facebook.com/westervilleforhonorflight/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Honor Flight Westerville</a> and<a href="https://sealkids.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> SEALKIDS</a>.
