The next four years will bring many challenges to our community. Let's build a plan in advance to stay strong and together!

Though many of us feel a strong urge to stick our heads firmly in the sand and leave them there for the next four years, this is ony going to further cement feelings of isolation, anxiety, powerlessness and defeat.There is a challenging road ahead of us. These challenges may feel overwhelming, but they are not insurmountable. Consider this session your boot camp for surviving the presidency to come.We'll talk through important strategies for avoiding burnout and empathy fatigue and build our emotional capacity muscles. We'll also go through a resource mapping exercise to help you develop a better understanding of what resources are available to you and the people in your community, and how you might be able to pick one or two of these resources to get involved in. Through this, we'll create action plans that empower us to get involved and build community.This event will be hosted by Ben Greene, a transgender advocate and community organizer living in St. Louis, Missouri. He'll draw on successful strategies from social movements throughout history, reminders from authors and advocates from around the world, and personal stories from his own advocacy journey.
