Come join  the Frassati Fellowship of NYC on Saturday, June 27th on our first summer hike of 2020!

Facing such an extraordinary display of nature, it comes spontaneously to us to raise our hearts to heaven, just as young Frassati loved to do frequently.- JPII in Cogne, Italy, August 21, 1994Come join the Frassati Fellowship of NYC on Saturday, June 27th for our first summer hike of 2020! We will be embarking on a moderate-to-difficult hike in upstate NY about a 30-40 minute drive from the city. More details will be sent to those who register.In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made some adjustments to our typical hike schedule and procedure in order to take precautions and reduce the risk of exposure to the virus. Please read the following carefully if you are interested in attending.We will meet for early morning Mass in NYC, and immediately after Mass we will drive to the trailhead together. We will be unable to provide our usual breakfast of coffee and bagels so we ask that everyone bring their own breakfast and lunch.Our plan is to carpool to the hike as usual, with some modifications:<ul><li>We will allow a maximum of 2 passengers per car</li><li>All passengers and the driver must wear a mask at all times while in the car</li></ul>In order to preserve the experience of fellowship and to ensure the day goes smoothly, we typically do not allow hikers to travel separately from the main group. However, given the current situation we are allowing people who have means of transportation and who are uncomfortable with meeting up with the main group to join us at the trailhead. If you are meeting us at the trail, you must still sign up for this event - there will be an option on the order form to let us know you will be joining us at the trail.Once at the trail, we will eat breakfast, begin the hike as usual, eat our lunches on the trail and have time set aside for reveling in God&#x27;s creation as well as some low-pressure group prayer. After the hike, we will return to the city instead of meeting up for dinner afterwards.We will send more details (what to bring, where to meet, etc.) to those who register. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at hiking@frassati.nyc.Please read the following notes before you register:<ul><li>We cannot guarantee a return time back to the city, so please do not make evening plans.</li><li>This event is open to all young adults in their 20&#x27;s and 30&#x27;s. If you are over 39 years of age, please do not sign up. You can find other fabulous events at Catholic NYC.</li><li>Please only sign yourself up for this hike.</li><li>Everyone who wants to attend the hike must register and sign the Eventbrite waiver. We set registration fees for each hike based on the cost of reimbursing our volunteer drivers for fuel and parking fees, public transportation, providing breakfast for the hikers, and assisting the religious brothers, sisters, and priests in being able to hike with us.
