The Rochester Cajun Zydeco Network (www.rochesterzydeco.com) has been hosting music and “dance hall” events for 20 years, supporting the music from and inspired by the bayous and prairies of South West Louisiana.  Both Cajun Music and Zydeco Music emerged from the cultures and communities of rural sections of Louisiana with historic roots tied to the land for generations, colored by the French speaking white Cajun and black Creole peoples.  RCZN has built a happy, healthy, and hardy community of people who come regularly to monthly shows packed with helpful dance lessons for beginners, dynamic performances by world class Cajun and Zydeco bands from Louisiana, and enthusiastic crowds of dancers who love shaking and grooving together all night.
