Day 1:

Arrival at Entebbe Airport

Our driver/ guide will pick you up from Entebbe Airport and transfer to hotel for overnight. . (Approximately 10- 15minutes’ drive).

Overnight at Boma Hotel Entebbe (B&B)


Day 2:

Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

Our guide/driver picks you at 7:00 am from the Boma hotel and transfer to Murchison falls national park You will have a stopover at Nakitoma in Nakasongola for a visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will do Rhino tracking then proceed to Murchison falls national park. you will visit the top of waterfalls in the afternoon. . (Approximately 5-6 hours’ drive).

Day 3:

Game Drive and Boat trip in Murchison Falls N.P

After Breakfast you will do dawn morning game drive search for “Big Five” (Buffaloes, Hippos, and leopards) other animals you will see include Rothschild Giraffes, Bushbucks, warthogs, waterbucks and variety of Antelopes. Return to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, embark for 3 hours’ afternoon boat safari to the bottom of Falls, this cruise allows you to see large hippo pods, crocodiles and numerous aquatic birds adorning the north bank on the way to the mighty waterfalls. You will have the opportunity to take thousands of pictures.

Day 4:

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

All day drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal through verdant countryside and past traditional homesteads and farms along Albertine Rift escarpments. Fort-Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon. Evening cultural visit around the crates is amazing. (Approximately 6-7 hours’ drive).

DAY 5

CHIMPANZEE TREKKING IN KIBALE THEN TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
Early morning trek for chimpanzees. Kibale is the best reserve in Africa to view chimps, a thick jungle with a towering canopy. In the afternoon, drive to lake Mburo National Park, you take guided nature walks. Approximately 3 – 4 hours’ drive.

DAY 6

Game Drive and Boat Ride in Lake Mburo N.P

After Breakfast you will do dawn morning game drive. The morning is the best time for game drive as the African Animal kingdom tends to be most active during the golden hours of first sunlight touching the Savanah and take boat ride in the afternoon.

Day 7:

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth N.P which is located in south western Uganda and it’s the second largest park in the country and located at the base of majestic, next to lake Edward and lake George which are joined by the Kazinga Channel. This park has 5000 hippos, 2500 Elephants and over 10,000 Buffaloes thriving in its grassland. (. (Approximately 4-5 hours’ drive).

Day 8:

Game Drive and Boat trip in Queen Elizabeth N.P

After Breakfast you will do dawn morning game drive. The morning is the best time for game drive as the African Animal kingdom tends to be most active during the golden hours of first sunlight touching the Savanah. You will see Elephants, Buffaloes, Lions, Waterbuck, Leopards, Uganda Kobs, warthog, Birds and primates. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George, here you will see large numbers of hippos more than you can possibly imagine as well as a variety of other animals which come to waterhole to drink or bathe. You can expect to see buffaloes, crocodiles, bathing Elephants and a range of beautiful birds.

Day 9

Transfer to Bwindi forest.

After breakfast, drive to Bwindi via the landscape of tea plantations, probably East Africa’s most spectacular scenery, and the highland rain forests which reach to the volcanoes in which live the mountain gorillas. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds, you will do cultural experiences in the afternoon. (Approximately 5-6 hours’ drive).

Day 10:

Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi ForestBegin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 7:30am with a briefing. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc. The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. You may see the gorillas eating, sucking ants from a tree, swinging on vines, playing and sleeping. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. It is most rewarding animal-based experience that clients get and others would definitely do it again if given the opportunity. There are now only 1000 left in the world! The tracking may take between 2 and 10 hours depending on the gorilla family nearby. There is always an option to hire a local porter (highly recommended as it supports the local economy) who will carry your bag and literally, push you up the hills if necessary!

Day 11:

Return to KampalaReturn to Kampala in the morning, lunch break is made at Agip Motel Mbarara with stop over at Equator Uganda crossing and Mpambire drum makers for a brief photo opportunity and to shop souvenirs then a transfer to Entebbe for evening flight home. . (Approximately 8-9 hours’ drive).

THIS ARE THE INSIGHTS ON GORILLA TRIP TO UGANDA

Bwindi National Park

Trekking mountain gorillas is hottest tourism and highly booked activity in Uganda today; approximately over 3 million tourists who visit Uganda come for gorilla safari becaues Uganda is a home to more than half of world’s mountain gorilla population. Apart from this primates, Bwindi impenetrable National park is also one of Uganda’s top birding destinations with now about 350 types of birds/bird species including many localized Albertine endemic species. On the forest margins, community walks provide insights into the village life of local Bakiga people while Batwa pygmies demonstrate their hunter gathered traditions.

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Mugahing is small gorilla national park covering just 38 sq. km, it has magnificent setting on the northern slopes of virunga volcanoes. Two rare primates are living in this park- mountain gorillas and golden monkey can be tracked. The parks three extinct volcanoes can be climbed providing superb regional panorama on Uganda gorilla safari tours. Batwa people guides demonstrate their traditional forest lore on the Batwa trail before descending into Garama cave, once home to Batwa King, where underground acoustics amplify a memorable musical finale. Tracking down of the largest population of mountain gorillas, golden monkeys among other primates.
