The address is given upon registration.Rachel specializes in a style of teaching called Yin Meridian Meditation. In this class you can expect to hold postures for longer periods of time in meditative stillness and deep relaxation. The healing effects of this practice take place deep within the connective tissues, the joints, the energy channels, and the subconscious and emotional body for newfound freedoms in body and mind. This practice will focus on the kidneys, adrenals and the reproductive system. It will be tailored to soften deep seated tension and stress patterns that relate to these organs and energy channels within the body. In the season of Winter we are tending to the Water element within and our relationship with fear, chronic anxiety, willpower and spiritual strength/stamina. The physical organs associated with this element are the kidneys, the urinary tract and the reproductive organs and they are concerned with constitutional strength, survival and continuity through our ability to be creative and resourceful in “seeding” our gifts into the physical world. The Water element holds the spirit of our Will, which ignites a fire within that keeps us feeling strong, steady, capable and inspired during challenging times. This immersive class invites the body to release unresolved emotions stored within the tissues, deep seated patterns of anxiety, stress or other restrictive disharmonies through gentle asana, stillness, breath, and awareness. Aromatherapy will be added to the practice to enhance this internal process and experience. Class will close with a Yoga Nidra and a short neck/scalp massage while in Savasana.
