The event is free to attend, but you must RSVP. We're collecting non-perishable food donations for the Great Plains Food Bank, so help us support our community by giving back.

After the program, Beni Paulsen & Breaking Eight, a high-energy country rock band from North Dakota will take to the stage. This talented group brings music that's "born in the back of a bull."

What are some of the most needed items for the Great Plains Food Bank?

Accepted Answer

Canned meat (tuna, chicken), Cereal and cereal bars, Canned fruit and vegetables, Box meal kits (Mac and cheese, hamburger helper, etc.), Paper towels, Toilet paper, Diapers, and Shampoo/conditioner.

Are kids allowed at this event?

Yes - your entire family is invited to join us for this historic event. Each attendee, no matter their age, is required to RSVP for the event.

What is the Bismarck Event Center's bag policy?

Accepted Answer

No backpacks or large bags are permitted. Any small bags or purses will be searched.

What items are prohibited?

Accepted Answer

A full list of prohibited items can be found here: https://governorsheritagend.org/event-details. The list includes weapons (Possession of a firearm in a publicly owned building is forbidden by law. N.D.C.C 62.1-02-05 (1), outside food and drinks, and more.

Will there be metal detectors?

Accepted Answer

There are walk-through metal detectors upon entrance into the event. Signs are posted at the entrance as to what items need to be removed before proceeding through the detector. Please notify security personnel if you have a medical condition.
