ThemissionofOpportunityMusicProjectis to create a community where all children, regardless of economic background, can pursue their passion formusicand gain the valuable personal and collaborative skills associated with the rigors of learning an instrument.OpportunityMusicProjectserves 125 students from all five boroughs of New York City, ages 4-18.OpportunityMusicProjectstudents have gone on to attend specialized arts high schools andmusicprograms, including the Juilliard SchoolMusicAdvancement Program, the SpecialMusicHigh School, LaGuardia High School, and Frank Sinatra High School, and have performed on the stages of Carnegie Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, Lincoln Center, and Harvard’s Graduate School of Education.

We are thrilled to invite you to our Donor Open House on Saturday, December 14th, from 11am - 2pm! This event offers a special opportunity to experience the OMP program firsthand at our rehearsal space in East Harlem. Come observe our theory classes, sit in on private lessons, and enjoy an orchestra rehearsal to see the impact of your donations in action. Your support is helping us create greater diversity and equity in music education!
