An Introduction to IFS & Other Strategies for Treating Trauma CEU Event

A 3.0 hour diagnosis CEU event introducing IFS & other treatment strategies when working with clients with trauma!

This presentation will provide attendees with an introduction to the widely growing treatment modality, Internal Family Systems. Participants will learn the goals of IFS, a foundation of IFS parts and the 6 F’s and how to recognize parts with your clients, as well as key neurobiological, anatomical, and chemical factors of trauma that show up in part presentations. Participants may even gain insight into their own parts that show up with their clients. Participants will go deeper into understanding common parts that show up for clients with trauma and will gain an understanding of IFS healing steps and additional strategies for working with clients in traumatic healing. <h3>Learning Objectives:</h3><ol><li>Participants will learn to identify the 3 main parts in IFS.</li><li>Participants will learn how to use the 6 Fs in IFS for working with clients.</li><li>Participants will learn how to access Self-energy as a therapist &amp; to foster it with clients.</li><li>Participants will learn about various factors that contribute to part presentations in clients.</li><li>Participants will learn about common parts that show up for clients with trauma backgrounds</li><li>Participants will learn about IFS healing steps and other strategies for working with trauma clients.</li></ol> <h3>Requirements for Receiving CEUs:</h3><ul><li>Attendance for the full 3.0 hours.</li><li>Submission of a completed evaluation form.</li></ul>**APPROVED by LCA for 3.0 hours of diagnosis for LPCs &amp; PLPCs****APPROVED by NASW-LA for 3.0 hours of clinical CEUs for LMSWs and LCSWs*

Robyn is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) in the state of Louisiana, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Arizona, &amp; a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the state of North Carolina. She is a Level 2 Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II), Certified Military Clinical Counselor (CMCC), and Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC) with a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts degree both from Louisiana State University. Robyn is a Level 2 Internal Family Systems therapist, having completed Level 2 on Trauma &amp; Neurobiology with Dr. Frank Anderson. Her specialties &amp; interests include trauma, OCD, and military/first responder issues. She has undergone a variety of trauma-focused trainings including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Levels 1 &amp; 2 of Internal Family Systems, EMDR + IFS Integrations, and various exposure techniques such as Exposure &amp; Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD.She is co-owner of<a href="https://www.clartecounseling.com/" title="https://www.clartecounseling.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Clarté Counseling, LLC</a> in Lafayette, LA and is dedicated to giving back to her profession. She is known for volunteering at the Louisiana Counseling Association conference for nine years, a volunteer for the American Red Cross, and provides several continued education presentations to help serve the need. She also has a passion for working with the United States military and our nation's first responders, offering free sessions to veterans, active duty, and reservists, and financial assistance to first responders as a contracted therapist with <a href="https://www.theoverwatchcollective.com/" title="https://www.theoverwatchcollective.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Overwatch Collective</a>. She has mostly recently been awarded the 2024 Humane and Caring Person award at the Louisiana Counseling Association conference.
