The Art & History Museums of Maitland (A&H) is a premier cultural destination and community gathering place in Central Florida, about 15 minutes from downtown Orlando. A&H is a group of sophisticated attractions that includes a contemporary art museum, 3 interactive history museums, and a stunning campus recognized as Greater Orlando's only National Historic Landmark. A&H also features a community art school nestled among its beautiful gardens and unique architecture. Founded in 1937 as an artists’ retreat, our space still fulfills this mission today with multiple artist residencies serving both local and international artists. A&H provides the Central Florida community with many activities every month, including free family programming, affordable site tours, and free presentations on art and history from visiting experts. Free event: artist talk by Sinuhé Vega Negrin followed by live music inspired by his art!

Art & History Museums of Maitland

In this first-ever event of its kind here in Maitland, the Art &amp; History Museums of Maitland (A&amp;H) invites the Central Florida Composer’s Forum (CFCF) and the Howey Music Series (HMS) into our current gallery exhibition Future Nature: The Silent Conversations of Sinuhé Vega Negrin. Local composers will take inspiration from the art in our galleries to create new short compositions that pair with Negrin’s artistic visions. Musicians will then interpret these compositions live, filling our galleries with sounds and images of a positive potential future where humanity exists harmoniously with nature.Held during our regular free Last Wednesday hours when we offer a cash bar and complimentary admission to our gallery from 5:30-8pm (<a href="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/last-wednesdays-free-at-ah-tickets-1074970027289?aff=oddtdtcreator" title="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/last-wednesdays-free-at-ah-tickets-1074970027289?aff=oddtdtcreator" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">learn more here</a>), the evening will begin with an artist talk from Negrin. After that, HMS artists will perform CFCF member compositions.Admission, to this event is FREE!
