Please join Robin Dluzen with the artists Sabba Elahi, Moises Salazar, Maryam Taghavi, Ji Yang for an online Zoom discussion and tour of In Flux: Chicago Artists and Immigration as they walk you through the exhibition, currently quarantined at the Chicago Cultural Center.In Flux: Chicago Artists and Immigration is a continuation of the 2018-2020 project <a href="http://www.6018north.org/living-architecture" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Living Architecture</a> – a large-scale, multidisciplinary exhibition that highlights the influence and impact of immigrant artists on Chicago. In Flux began as a response to the current political climate, and now during this time of COVID-19, we see an already strained immigration infrastructure further placing immigrants in precarious states.This show originally opened at 6018North on Labor Day to honor immigrant and artistic labor – often unseen and unvalued. It then opened at the Cultural Center on Valentine's Day as a love letter to immigrants who continuously adapt, challenge and transform America, particularly in times like these.
