Your ticket for this event covers BOTH sessions on Wednesday &amp; Thursday.This two-part training will occur on Wednesday, June 10 from 10:00am-11:30am PDT and Thursday, June 11 from 10:00am-11:30am PDT. Join nationally recognized trainer and Director of Being Trauma Informed, Dr. Chris Wilson for three hours of engaging exploration into the impact domestic violence (or intimate terrorism, as we'll call it) has on the brain of a victim/survivor. Can't make both days? Your registration will allow you to view the recorded webinars for 30 days!

The three hour webinar (spread over two days in 90 minute segments) is an advanced training. We will take off from what is usually covered in basic or "DV 101" classes and discuss new ways of making sense of perpetrator behavior. We will also examine the impact of abuse and control on the brain of the perpetrator's intimate partner and help attendees understand why and how a victim's brain expands what it considers threat over time. The webinar will conclude with a powerful demonstration called You'd Stay Too.

<ul><li>A Certificate of Attendance will be provided for the purposes of seeking continuing education credit (3 hours).</li><li>Dr. Wilson will answer questions for up to 30 minutes at the conclusion of each webinar, for those interested.</li><li>A summary of all three hours of content will be provided to each participant at the conclusion of the training.</li></ul>

Dr. Chris Wilson, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist from Portland, Oregon. For ten years he ran groups for abusive men and for fifteen years conducted domestic violence evaluations and risk assessments. For the past seven years, he has been training criminal justice professionals on the neurobiology and psychology of trauma. This combination of experience and training make his talks on how domestic violence/intimate terrorism affects the brain both compelling and unique. His engaging style, passion for training, and experience add up to a dynamic webinar that he genuinely hopes you both appreciate and enjoy.
