Melissa Spaulding, CMHC has been a licensed mental health counselor for over the past decade, She is the owner of Guided Wellness counseling services in St. George, UT where she facilitates the healing process for those overcoming anxiety and trauma, guiding them towards purposeful and adventurous lives. She is the creator of "Lean In, Laugh Loud" a workshop experience using improv comedy to deepen communication and relationships and has also presented at The Society Center, High Vibrations Healing and the Southern Utah Yoga Festival and more.

EMDR Group Consultation - Summer Session 3 (4 meetings)

Summer is a great time to receive EMDR Group Consultation. Whether you are working towards your EMDRIA Consultant status or you simply want to sharpen your EMDR skills, group consultation is the next step. This second Summer Session meets 4 Fridays in the month of August from 9 - 10 AM (MT). Attend once or attend all 4 hour long groups, the choice is yours.Following EMDRIA&#x27;s newest best practices for consultation these groups will allow you to learn from others in a small setting (maximum of 5 participants) as we review:<ul><li>Application of the 8 phases and pacing of these phases</li><li>Effective framing of treatment using the 3 prongs (past, present, future)</li><li>Meaningful case conceptualization</li><li>Opportunities to deviate from the standard protocol by application of intentional cognitive interweaves and other scripted interventions.</li><li>Options for comfort and effectiveness with EMDR during online sessions.</li></ul>Members should expect to share cases from their work so that you can be provided with personalized feedback and guidance. Every meeting with be followed by an email review of material covered, resources and suggested learning as appropriate. Participants must be prepared to join via Zoom for the meetings with video and audio connection. All consultation groups will be recorded for clinical review to better serve you.This group opportunity is for you if you enjoy learning from others, peer collaboration, the use of metaphor and story telling in treatment and wanting to provide the best possible EMDR to your amazing clientele. I can&#x27;t wait to guide and support you down this path of increased confidence and creativity.
