Join Twin Cities Medical Society, The University of Minnesota&#x27;s School of Public Health and Minnesota Doctors for Health Equity for this CME (1 contact hour) talk about Sugary Beverages and Health Equity. Presenters include:Dr. Lisa Harnack, co-director of the Obesity Prevention Center at the School of Public HealthDr. Sofia Ali, member of Minnesota Doctors for Health EquityAnnie Krapek, Senior Program Manager, Twin Cities Medical SocietyThis one hour program for members will address racial disparities and corporate marketing around sugar sweetened beverages and Minnesota legislation to address this issue.We will start with a short presentation about sugar sweetened beverages, their adverse health impacts, racial disparities, and success of policies. This will include increase adverse effects in marginalized communities and communities of color.
