This workshop is for absolute beginners who want to learn the basics of stained glass while turning their very own design into a sun catcher or a festive ornament. Students may work from a selection of designs or work with the instructor to develop a design that fits within an 8x8 inch square. This workshop will cover how to cut and grind glass to fit a pattern, apply copper foil, and solder the glass together using the Tiffany technique. All materials and tools are provided, you need only bring your curiosity. Each student will leave with a finished, and ready to hang, stained glass design.No previous experience is necessary. This workshop will include a 30min lunch break. Students may bring a lunch or visit one of the nearby restaurants in Seattle's Pioneer Square.Age 14+, guardians required for people under the age of 18.
