Global Shapers Community Manila Hub presents
"Sustainability Webinar Series"
In celebration of World Environment Day 2020 on June 5 with the theme “Biodiversity,” the Global Shapers Community Manila Hub has organized the three-part Sustainability Webinar Series happening over the three consecutive Fridays starting May 22 to explore biodiversity in the lenses of our youth, political and business leaders in the Age of Information Technology.
The three-part series will revolve around the three pillars, namely Leadership in Nature, Digital for Environment, and Business for People and Planet, and is envisioned to raise awareness and discuss practices from the high-caliber speakers to share the message on environment amongst the youth participants across the Philippines.
Business People and Planet Pillar | June 5 | 5 PM
The businesses heavily rely on the environment ecosystem as their source for primary production. The demand for natural ecosystems continues to increase rapidly, and if without accountability measures and environmental policies, this could result in loss of balance in the natural ecosystem and would endanger the quality of life of the future generation. What can we learn from other industries' practices in preserving natural resources and sharing the environmentally-centred mission?
The panelists joining us for this pillar are Ms. Koleen Palaganas, VP for Sustainability of SM Investments Corporation; Ms. Nella Lomotan, Founder of Eco Explorations; and Colin Steley, Operations Director of Stratcon.
