Do I need experience in massage in order to join the class?

Accepted Answer

No, you do not need experience in massage or bodywork.  As long as you feel somewhat comfortable sitting or kneeling on the floor, you are welcome to join.

Question 2

If I have Thai (or table) massage experience, will I still benefit from this class?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely.  After teaching for two decades, Paul is a seasoned teacher and practitioner.  He has  a keen eye that see how a minor adjustment in how you position your body can change everything.   He also guarantees you will learn cool new moves!

Question 3

Do I need to bring a mat or massage table?

Accepted Answer

No, we will provide the Thai mats.  However, we will ask that you bring a full or queen size flat sheet, pillow and pillowcase.

Question 4

What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

Thai Massage, unlike some other forms of massage is done fully clothed. Looser fitting cotton sweat pants are optimal but yoga pants can work too.  Wear a t-shirt with shoulders covered (no tank tops please) or a long sleeve t-shirt.  And bring a sweatshirt in case you get chilly when receiving.

Is there parking at the studio?

Sat Nam Yoga is in the West Loop neighborhood of Chicago on Washington Blvd.  There is free parking on Washington Blvd from Ogden until Elizabeth St. however because this is a weekday class, the free parking can be a bit difficult.  Check Spot Hero, metered spots or take public transport.

Question 6

What is the refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Cancellations 30 days prior to the class will receive a full refund less a $15 processing fee.
Cancellations made 29-14 days prior to the class will be able to use that tuition towards a future class less a $15 processing fee.
No refund for cancellations made less than 14 days prior to class.
