Save the Date: The 2020 Indiana Annual Recovery Month Symposium (INARMS) will be held from September 28th to 29th, 2020. Save the date on your calendar now!Due to continuous concerns on COVID-19 in Marion County, the Division of Mental Health and Addiction and Overdose Lifeline have decided to present this year’s IN ARMS Symposium as a fully virtual conference. This year’s keynote speaker is award-winning neuroscience author, journalist &amp; mental health advocate Maia Szalavitz!Preferred Payment: Check, PayPal or Invoice For scholarship information contact Molly Grimm at Molly@overdoselifeline.org National Recovery Month (Recovery Month), sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), is a national observance held every September to educate Americans that substance use treatment and mental health services can enable those with mental and substance use disorders to live healthy and rewarding lives. This observance celebrates the millions of Americans who are in recovery from mental and substance use disorders, reminding us that treatment is effective and that people can and do recover. It also serves to help reduce the stigma and misconceptions that cloud public understanding of mental and substance use disorders, potentially discouraging others from seeking help.
