Enjoy an intimate wine experience with Advanced Sommelier Lamar Engel of The Wine Militia featuring premium wines and food bites all paired to songs played by live musical artists. Watch the sun as it sets on 50 acres of ranunculus flowers varying in a myriad of colors.

This season, The Wine Militia is partnering with the Women Winemakers & Culinarians Foundation from Santa Barbara Wine Country to highlight and celebrate female winemakers. Each night, we'll feature an exclusive selection of sought-after, dynamic whites, reds, rosés, and sparkling wines.

Musical artists will be joining us from all over Southern California and will be playing familiar songs as well as originals. Food Bites will be made by local chefs and will spotlight the nuances of each wine that has been paired. From classic reds and rosé to dynamic white wines; all of the selections and food pairings are curated by our sommeliers and will highlight celebrated Californian wine-growing regions.

FAQs - Sunset Wine Tasting 2025

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Yes. Guests attending this event must be 21 years of age or older and be able to

show a valid ID at the event.

What is the seating arrangement for this event?

Seats will be assigned for each guest/ticket and a seating chart will be emailed to

the ticket holder prior to the event (typically one week prior). Tables are family style; and ticket holders will most likely sit at tables with other ticket holders.

Each table and seat is designed to see the main stage where the main program will be presented. Assigned seating will be emailed prior to the event showing where the ticket holder will be sitting. During the day of the event, a name card will show the guest where they are to find their seat and will also be ushered to their table by the reception team upon check in at the event. If you have other ticket holders that you would like to be seated with, please go ahead and email events@thewinemilitia.com and give your name (Ticketholder) and the name of the other guest ticketholder(s) and we can arrange prior to the event. Any requests sent less than 48 hours prior to the event are not guaranteed to be seated together.

What is all included in the price of the ticket?

This is a great question. We want to give value for each ticket purchased so in doing so, we strive to deliver an experience that encompasses what we love about wine and food events. The entrance to the Flower Fields is included in the ticket price and includes access to the fields, the wine tasting along with the bites, and the entertainment are all considered into the ticket price. If you have been to a Wine Militia event in the past, you know that we love to give more for the value so that you walk away enriched, educated and inspired!

Will there be ample amount of tickets for everyone?

Ticketing is limited for this event as this event historically sells out fairly quickly so we encourage folks to purchase ALL their tickets when they can.

What are my parking options at the event?

Ample parking and overflow parking is available at The Flower Fields.

What can I bring into the event?

If you would like to bring in a blanket for warmth, be our guest - other than that -bring your palates and a smile!

What should I wear?

Guests should wear comfortable clothing and keep in mind it can be cool and foggy near the coast and that often influences The Flower Fields in Carlsbad.

Layering clothing, sweaters, light jackets, and shawls are highly encouraged.

What is the refund policy?

All ticket sales are final. Event will go on rain or shine.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You will need to show your ticket at the event and can either show a printed ticket

confirmation or a digital version (Eventbrite App ticket confirmation ok too)

Is my ticket transferrable?

Is it ok if the name on my ticket doesn’t match the person who attends?

We understand that the ticket purchaser buys tickets for groups. For this reason, we ask that groups all check in together if possible (Both at The Flower Fields

entry gate and the event venue entrance).

Does my ticket allow for admission into The Flower Fields?

Tickets for this event are for after-hours however, your ticket grants access prior to the start time of the event. We encourage coming 1-2 hours prior to the event to enjoy the fields.
