South Louisiana Center for the Arts is proud to announce Legally Blonde  Jr  as our Spring production.

Expectation –Spring 2025 Legally Blonde Jr.1. Unaccompanied students are not allowed to be dropped off until a Director is on site, and whoever drops the student off must sign him or her in. This is to protect your child and SoLa, as an organization. 2. Students may be dropped off 15 minutes prior to the start of each practice, as our Director will be present at this time. 3. Students must be picked up at the scheduled time that practice ends. 4. Casting is at the discretion of the Director. We hire staff that we trust, and we do not dispute casting decisions that the Director has made. 5. Auditions and Practices are for students only. Parents/family/friends may not attend auditions or practices. 6. You are required to download the Groupme app (general communication) and Google classroom (to obtain media files). The director will communicate codes/invites to you. If you do not download these apps, you may miss important communication. 7. Communication regarding specifics about the show. (ex. Costuming, casting, etc.) should be directed to our Director. 8. Placement is only guaranteed once tuition in the amount of $250.00 is paid in full. Please pay your tuition by 12/18/24, in order to secure your child’s placement in the program and to receive a script at the parent meeting. 9. A full refund of the tuition fee minus a 10% administrative fee will be issued when a request to drop from the program prior to the start of the program. If a student drops after the start of the program, no refunds will be given. 10. If your child drops from the program prior to the start of the program, we ask that you return the script, in order to receive your refund. 11. SoLa reserves the right to remove a student from the program if he/she is a disciplinary problem at the Directors discretion. If a student is permanently dropped from the program, no refund will be given. 12. We expect all campers to be respectful to our Directors and to fellow students. 13. We will not tolerate intimidation/bullying, teasing, or stealing. 14. We will not tolerate online bullying with posting regarding SoLa students on social media. 15. We have zero tolerance for any version of a physical altercation. Examples: hitting, kicking, biting, unwanted touch, etc. Horseplay/play pushing is not allowed, as this can eventually lead to physical altercations. 16. We have zero tolerance for discussing mature content in this program. 17. Practice is not the time or place for phones, texting, taking pics, social media etc. Please keep the phones at home. If your child brings a phone to practice, the Directors reserve the right to hold the phone, and he/she will only be allowed to use the phone in an emergency situation. 18. Students are expected to clean up after themselves after each practice, without leaving trash or personal belongings behind. 19. Volunteer needs are different each semester. The Director will notify the SoLa board if there is a need for volunteers, associated with the show itself, and SoLa will organize this if there is a need.20. Students participating in SoLa’s drama program may be in contact with the press, be photographed or videotaped to advertise SoLa’s programs and productions in print or through Internet sources such as Facebook and Instagram. By your signature, you give permission for the enrolled student to be interviewed by the press, photographed or videotaped participating in programs at SoLa for such advertising purposes.21. Please understand that not every child will have a lead role; however, everyone’s part is vital to the production. We ask that you sign your child up only if they are willing to participate in any role.22. Attendance is expected. Recurrent absences and tardies will result in your child’s role being adjusted. This is at the Director’s discretion.
