All Schools in Iowa are Invited to Attend this Free Zoom Event on Thursday, November 7 at 9:30 a.m. The speaker is Canadian Holocaust Survivor Sol Nayman who will tell his story.Teachers: Your students are the last generation able to hear a WWII survivor speak live.Our speaker Sol Nayman was a child when the Nazis invaded Poland. His family was able to escape to the Soviet Union where life was very cold and oftentimes difficult. But they were together and alive. Young Sol watched his father work hard as slave labor and took him lunch each day. After many long years there, they learned of the Allied victory. They were free and as they gathered in a Displaced Person camp, his parents learned about the horrors of the concentration camps. Eventually, their family was able to immigrate to Canada to start a new life.
