Designed to illuminate the active AI projects across the university, this session is your gateway to understanding and engaging with AI initiatives. This November, we’re excited to feature guest speaker Dr. Hasan Davulcu on Programmable &amp; Explainable AI (PX-AI).Talk Title: Programmable &amp; Explainable AI (PX-AI) Summary: Big data will continue to be the foundation for the AI, but contextualized curated data is the king. Cleaner, more accurate data will help train superior AI models that make better predictions. It is known that human cognition in important instances operates theoretically “top-down”, driven by theory-based causal logic, rather than AI’s “bottom-up” emphasis on data-based prediction. We leverage weak supervision and ground-truthing of LLMs big data with human-level wisdom and judgement to enable the safest, most effective Programmable and Explainable AIs (PX-AI) for all your GenAI needs.About Dr. Hasan Davulcu Dr. Davulcu, a professor in the School of Computing and AI at Arizona State University. He developed patented AI and machine learning algorithms to mine information from multi-lingual text, image and video sources extracted from social networks. His research in data mining and machine learning were published at Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and IEEE Computer Society conferences and journals. Davulcu holds a B.S. degree in mathematics from the Middle East Technical University (METU) and, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Stony Brook University.
