Learn to use the miter saw, router, drill press, and brad nailers to make a beautiful box with a sliding lid!

Community Workshop NOLA Makerspace

Learn woodworking skills while making a beautiful box with a lid. In this workshop you will learn to use the tablesaw, bandsaw, sander, and router table to construct the box. You will have two different designs to choose from. At the end of the workshop you will leave with some new skills and a beautifully finished wood box that you can gift to someone else or keep for yourself to hold your favorite things. All materials are included in the cost of the class. This class is open to all! No woodworking experience required.Come enjoy our shop and tools, make friends, and learn a new skill. A bout the Instructor:Cori Pillows is a multidisciplinary artist with a Masters in Fine Arts specializing in sculpting painting and woodworking. Her unique art skill set contributes to a final product that can be described as functional art.
