Support  Hospice Savannah's Story Keeping program by raising a glass or teacup & sharing stories on the Thursday evening before Mothers Day

<h3>Due to the current pandemic we cannot host this vital fundraiser in its original setting - However, from the comfort of your own home, we invite you to join us on the Thursday evening before Mother’s Day to raise a glass or sip a tea in memory of, or in honor of, your mother!</h3>And, in the spirit of Hospice Savannah’s Story Keeping program, we ask you to set aside this time to think about your mother or mother figure…What was her pet name for you?…What were some of her favorite sayings?…When you picture her, what is she wearing?…Which meal do you still prepare or enjoy that reminds you of her?We Remember Mama supports the continuation and growth of our Story Keeping Program, the legacy of Founding Story Keeper, Dottie Kluttz. Hospice Savannah’s Story Keeper and volunteers gather memories and life stories from our patients for their loved ones to cherish…. A patient recalls as a young child helping her mother by passing messages hidden in her pinafore during the French Resistance…A young boy confined to a wheelchair uses the power of story to imagine himself as an NBA star.Mark Murphy, beloved local physician and columnist for the Savannah Morning News, will share a story of his mother Peggy Womack Murphy. (pictured below). We will upload the story on May 7 and hope it inspires you share your own memories and to consider a much needed donation to the Story Keeping program.Suggested ticket price for our home-based &quot;event&quot; is $10 but donations of any size are appreciated.
