Parents Place is now part of the Center for Children and Youth (CCY).From everyday issues to challenges requiring specialized assessment; we help parents, caregivers, and educators ensure that children can grow and learn in supportive environments. Our experts offer parenting workshops, parent coaching & consultation, child behavior & school support, clinical & special needs services, parent/child activity groups, and child & family therapy. We are located in San Francisco, San Rafael, Palo Alto, and San Mateo.Join our community:www.parentsplaceonline.org.Workshop Cancellation and Refund Policy:In the event of a workshop cancellation due to low enrollment, you will be given the option to apply the credit toward another workshop or receive a refund.Parents Place does not provide refunds for missed workshops. However, with 48 hours advance notice of your inability to attend, we will offer another workshop(s) of equal value in exchange for the missed workshop.

Experience a workshop immersion in compassion cultivation based on the latest research on mindfulness and altruism. Explore strategies for strengthening self-compassion, connecting with others, and finding peace in difficult circumstances. This session will include meditation, self-reflection, and discussion about the relevance of these practical tools for self-care and parenting.  With <A HREF="https://parentsplace.jfcs.org/staff/jenny-ward-mfa/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jenny Ward, MFA</A> and in partnership with the <A HREF="https://www.santacruzpl.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Santa Cruz Public Libraries</A>.  Cost: FREE, first come first serve.  
The link for this workshop will be emailed a half hour before workshop commences and again at the start of the workshop.
