Virtual Yoga Nidra
Overview
Yoga Nidra or “yogic sleep” is an ancient meditation and conscious relaxation practice that supports and encourages physical, spiritual and emotional restoration. Yoga Nidra has been widely proven in research to reduce stress, alleviate insomnia, reduce anxious energy, reduce chronic pain and offer healing relief from trauma symptoms. This beautiful restorative practice invites you onto your mat, couch or other supportive surface for a full 45-55 minutes of integrated guided meditation. Because this practice is done virtually, the lasting effects can lovingly guide you into a tranquil sleep without being interrupted by a drive home.
Join me every Thursday evening as we take a meditative journey towards ease. To ensure you have a pleasant experience, please create a quiet restful place for this practice. I would encourage a blanket and pillow to provide warmth and comfort. Should you want to enhance your experience, I would recommend infusing your space with a soothing essential oil.
What to Expect:
Should you wish to arrive early to familiarize yourself with our virtual space, I welcome you 15 minutes prior to our start time. During this time, I am available to answer any questions prior to our practice. Upon beginning our meditative journey, you are kindly asked to turn off your cameras (if they are on) and microphones during the Nidra experience. Our guided meditation journey lasts about 45-55 minutes. Should you need to leave the practice at any time you can do so by pressing the "END" button on your Zoom screen. Once our practice is complete, I will end the Zoom experience on your behalf to support further relaxation settling in. Should you need assistance with Zoom, that guidance is offered within your registration confirmation.
