This webinar is one in a series of four sessions hosted by the RTA in place of the Annual Planning Workshop because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. These four free webinars will provide the guidance, insight, and tools necessary to facilitate transit-oriented development and transit accessible communities. Participants will hear from regional leaders in transportation planning, community zoning and mobility services management as they discuss the opportunities, challenges, and resources available to the Chicago region. RTA and Pace staff along with industry experts and municipal leaders will present lessons learned. Discussion will focus on leveraging new technology and business models, such as Transportation Network Companies, to ensure that agency and municipal goals and objectives are met while fostering an environment where private partners can thrive. In addition to regional efforts, the discussion will include an overview of current and future solutions to consider when planning a mobility pilot.SPEAKERSCurtis Witek, Senior Project Manager, Antero Group. Curtis has been a planner and project manager with Antero Group since 2017 and leads the project team on the Bedford Park Last Mile Mobility Study and Connect2Work Mobility Pilot. Joe Ronovsky, Chief Business Officer, Village of Bedford Park. Joe has been with the Village of Bedford Park since mid-2019 and is the primary village representative on the Connect2Work Mobility pilot.Peter Fahrenwald, Manager, Strategic and Corridor Planning, RTA. Peter leads the Strategic Planning team at RTA and has managed the RTA Mobility pilots in Oak Brook and Bannockburn.
