I'm coming on the tour with my partner.  Do we each need a ticket?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in order to minimize disruption in the classrooms, we limit the number of adults on tours.   If more than one adult is coming in your group, we ask that you reserve a ticket for each additional person.

Question 2

Can children come on the tours?

Accepted Answer

To minimize disruption in the classroom, we encourage adults only to come on the daytime tours if possible (infants strapped into a carrier are welcome!).  We will offer an open house for children and families on Sunday, January 11th, where children can freely play in the spaces with our teachers.

Is there parking at Newtowne School if I drive to the tour?

Accepted Answer

There is no visitor parking at FCC (note that there is free short-term parking for enrolled families during drop-off and pickup times).  Tour visitors can find two-hour metered parking on Garden Street.  Additionally, Cambridge residents may park on any of the surrounding neighborhood streets.

Question 4

Besides driving, how can I get to Newtowne?

Accepted Answer

Newtowne is a short walk from the MBTA Harvard Station as well as MBTA bus stops. Bicycle parking is available onsite.

What if I can't make it to any of the scheduled tours?

Accepted Answer

Keep checking back -- we will continue to  add additional tour opportunities over the fall and winter! We also offer flexible 'meet-a-parent' and 'Meet-the Director' virtual conversations at lunchtime and in the evenings. Email enrollment@newtowneschool.org to set up an alternative time to visit.
