This 2-hour, virtual workshop focuses on how to bring a team to consensus—even when you're not in the same room.

Decision making and team alignment are fundamental steps in unleashing your team's productive power. Especially in turbulent times, being the decision-maker or the one tasked with creating consensus across a divided team can be the hardest part of what you do. From the business-critical decisions that hold a lot of value to the day-to-day decisions, everyone can take steps to be more decisive and foster cohesion. In remote working environments, getting your team to make tough decisions requires a unique set of facilitation skills and structured activities that can allow for speedier change. In this 2-hour course, you'll learn how to bring a team to consensus—even when you're not in the same room.Key learning takeaways include:<ul><li>Creating and communicating a process for making and executing decisions</li><li>Leading team check-ins to identify blockers and concerns</li><li>Four techniques for eliminating back and forth and streamlining team alignment</li><li>Practice facilitating specific alignment challenges common in the workplace through scenario-based learning</li><li>Various methodologies for structuring focused conversations and pre-mortems</li><li>Learning when and when not to rely on technical tools and platforms to support your workflow</li></ul>WHAT IS A VIRTUAL WORKSHOP?Online courses will never be a full substitute for what can be done in-person, but it doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice the elements that make in-person experiences so impactful. These virtual workshops retain those elements that make our in-person workshops so valuable—in-depth conversations, surprises, hands-on application, energizing facilitation, and peer-to-peer learning. From the number of participants we allow to the technology we leverage to the facilitators we bring in, our remote sessions are designed with a deep level of intentionality to maximize engagement and your potential to learn. Leading great workshops is in our company’s DNA, so we don’t use the word ‘workshop’ lightly.HERE’S WHAT YOU NEED TO PREPARE<ul><li>This is a cameras-on, participatory experience with lots of fun interaction. Meaning, we highly encourage you use a computer with a functioning camera, microphone, and internet</li><li>A comfortable environment to log in from so you can actively speak and participate (we know it can be difficult to find a perfectly quiet spot at home, so all we ask is you do your best!)</li><li><a href="https://zoom.us/download" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Zoom downloaded</a> on your computer. Note--if you are unable to download Zoom, you can also join the link from your browser (Chrome or Edge work best). Please allow for an additional 5 minutes before the session starts to get it set up. </li><li>Access to Google Docs. You don’t need a google account or gmail address to access the documents, but make sure you can <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KCSQUC1PXyorwsEZJ7Ji0yeL_9yXZtiREdeG2_B3DWQ/edit" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">access this test document beforehand</a>. </li><li>A beverage and/or snack. This session is a two-hour course so make sure you're able to take care of yourself while participating!</li></ul>
