Join us as we explore techniques that families can utilize to manage big emotions and foster emotional well-being.

Learning to manage big emotions takes practice. Connie Morris, founder of Budding Yoga, and Hickman Lowder attorney Janet Griffith, invite you to practice emotional well-being together by creating moments of calm and joy. During this presentation, participants will learn how to make mindful choices that can build awareness, grow confidence, and develop independence.When engaging in mindful "well-ements", we better understand what works best when we need it most. Learn the science behind regulation as we practice eight components that can turn chaos to calm. We will use evidence-based practices to create space, time, and resources that can be used anywhere.About Connie MorrisConnie Morris is the founder of Budding Yoga. Using her diverse career in education, she has developed inclusive materials, lessons, and resources for all children’s social, emotional, and physical wellbeing. She is passionately working to bring mindfulness to children nationally and internationally as a speaker, writer, and professional development instructor. She is a Certified Children’s Yoga Teacher and Registered Yoga Teacher, as well as having mindfulness training. Connie comes from a career in elementary and special education and holds a master's degree in Special Education with a focus on autism. She is the children’s author of the Peace Plan Series using science-supported, transformational wellness tools for families and schools.
