No more trying to be mindful alone.The Hive exists to develop creative, compassionate, and mindfully-engaged citizens in the Cincinnati region, and online through small group classes and workshops. We have curated a collective of proven teachers, facilitators, and spiritual directors to help guide your learning in mindfulness, contemplation, art and action. We hope you'll try a class and like it enough to become a regular member. Your partnership helps make this nonprofit possible.(As a social enterprise, the Hive shares our story with photos of classes and events. If you are opposed to sharing your lovely face, let us know and we'll do our best to avoid that. But, by using an event ticket you agree to let The Hive share your image in photo, audio, and video form. For Zoom classes we occassionally announce if we elecet to record- please let your host or faciliator know if you do not want to be recorded.)

In this Spring season we take the experience to a new level. We will work with fresh colors, lengthening days and warm evenings, as we explore the ways that photography and imagery can be used for meditation, prayer, centering, and personal growth. Using a practice called visio divina to center ourselves, we will explore different ways of using photography to grow deeper in our spiritual and personal lives. No fancy camera or professional photographic skills required - simply bring any kind of camera you have (phone, point and shoot, DSLR) and a willingness to explore how the lens can be used as a tool for personal and spiritual growth. 
If you have participated in this before, jump in again.  Encounter Spring anew through the lens of your camera. We’ll do some review of basics in the first session but we will be digging deep throughout.
Edward Goode is an ordained Presbyterian minister and a passionate photographer. Over the last five years, photography has been the primary tool for his personal spiritual growth as he has explored many different texts and also used his photography as a spiritual discipline.
