No more trying to be mindful alone.The Hive exists to develop creative, compassionate, and mindfully-engaged citizens in the Cincinnati region, and online through small group classes and workshops. We have curated a collective of proven teachers, facilitators, and spiritual directors to help guide your learning in mindfulness, contemplation, art and action. We hope you'll try a class and like it enough to become a regular member. Your partnership helps make this nonprofit possible.(As a social enterprise, the Hive shares our story with photos of classes and events. If you are opposed to sharing your lovely face, let us know and we'll do our best to avoid that. But, by using an event ticket you agree to let The Hive share your image in photo, audio, and video form. For Zoom classes we occassionally announce if we elecet to record- please let your host or faciliator know if you do not want to be recorded.)

The feminine, whether the feminine principle or women themselves, holds the secret of creation, which is the light hidden in matter. —Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee
No matter your faith tradition, the image that there is a distant, large, old, and bearded white man in the sky hovers in the air of the western world’s traditions. This six-week course will work to undo or counterbalance that image with God as She. My experience is that this image of God is harming us like a great taskmaster in the sky. In these times, there is new healing for ourselves and the world available when we move into seeing the feminine divine as a midwife that works with us to birth the new, to re-new. Engage in collective readings, short guided meditations, contemplative writing, and discussion as we immerse ourselves in the beauty and tenderness of re-imagining the divine.
Christine Wilson is an award winning poet, artist, and facilitator living in Northside, which suits her just fine. She has shown visual art at Rohs St Cafe and Red Tree Gallery, and won the English Department poetry award at University of Cincinnati where she attended for English. She spent multiple years in ministry at a local church where she headed up arts, teens, and spiritual growth, teaching and writing the daily devotional for an audience of 25,000. She has a passion for diversity and justice and has painted murals, facilitated workshops, and led retreats in South Africa and India as well as the US. She facilitates at Women Writing for a Change and the Hive and is a graduate of the Conscious Feminine Leadership Academy.
