The purpose of this online training is to provide an overview of the core functions of ArchivesSpace to users who are new to ArchivesSpace or need a refresher on ArchivesSpace basics. 
Based on our one day in-person Introduction to ArchivesSpace workshops and divided into two half day trainings, the workshop agenda will be as follows:
April 6, 2020 (all times are in Eastern Standard Time)
12:00pm - Introductions – Learning objectives &amp; what will and won’t be covered 
12:15pm - Application overview 
12:30pm - Repository and user records, user permissions 
12:45pm - Accession records 
1:15pm - BREAK (15 minutes)
1:30pm - Resource records (single-level, multi-level and rapid data entry)
2:40pm - Location management
3:00pm - Wrap up 
April 7, 2020 (all times are in Eastern Standard Time)

1:00pm - BREAK (15 minutes)
1:15pm - Authority records – agents and subjects
2:00pm - Imports and exports

(This is our first attempt at offering a workshop in an online environment and, like you, the trainers are working remotely and under very different circumstances than normal right now. Thanks in advance for your understanding if elements of the workshop do not go according to plan.)
In advance of the training, attendees will receive a copy of the workshop agenda with connection information, the workbook for the workshop and a link to other getting started resources. 
Unlike our in-person workshops, this online training will not include any live practice exercises but a shared instance of ArchivesSpace will be provided for attendees for their use. We will also try and address all attendee questions related to ArchivesSpace but, due to the nature of this workshop, we will not be able to troubleshoot anyone's individual implementation of ArchivesSpace.
