About The Pete Dye Course at French Lick Resort

The Pete Dye Course at French Lick was named Best New Course in America by Golf Digest in 2009, has been ranked #1 in Indiana for 14 consecutive years in Golfweek’s “Best You Can Play,” and was also the 2017 National Course of the Year winner by the National Golf Course Owners Association. Hall of Fame designer Pete Dye conceived this course as a sketch on a napkin at a nearby restaurant and brought it to life with breathtaking 40-mile panoramic views of the Hoosier National Forest. Built on Indiana’s most dramatic elevation point, this hilltop course challenges golfers with narrow, immaculate fairways, intense terrain, “volcano” bunkers and a variety of elevation changes. While the course stretches to over 8,100 yards from the tips, it features five sets of tees – beginning at 5,100 feet – making it playable by golfers of every skill level.

What is the nearest airport to fly into?

You can fly into either Louisville (SDF) which is 1 hr 30 mins from French Lick or you can fly into Indianapolis (IND) which is 2 hours from French Lick. We recommend you also book a car.

Are there hotels on property?

Will there be food, beverage, and merchandise on site?

Yes! There will be food stands, bars and exclusive Good Good and Good Good Midwest Open merchandise for sale.

Is this event family friendly?

Yes! Just be mindful of the weather and the amount of walking.

Can I bring in my camera to record content?

Yes, you are welcome to record content from behind the ropes.

Can I leave and come back?

No, there will be no re-entry.

Can I bring anything into the event?

Absolutely no firearms. Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and do not exceed 12" x6" × 12", or one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar), or small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand (4 ½" × 6½"), with or without a handle or strap, may be carried into the course.

Do I have to purchase a ticket if I am bringing my child?

Yes, all children above 2 years old need to have a ticket.
