Richland County residents are invited to bring recyclable materials to a drop-off event June 27 at the State Fairgrounds. The event was originally scheduled for May 9.Items collected will include: electronics, household hazardous waste, pesticides, scrap metal, tires, cooking oil and fluorescent bulbs. Paper will also be accepted for shredding (eight boxes maximum).Mattresses, wood and wooden furniture will not be accepted.The event will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 1200 Rosewood Drive, Columbia, and is open to Richland County residents only.For more information, call the County&#x27;s Solid Waste Division, 803-576-2440.
