2024 PROXY Fall Series: Inside Out 2

PROXY is a temporary two-block project located in San Francisco which seeks to mobilize a flexible environment of food, art, culture, and retail within renovated shipping containers. PROXY is both a response and solution to the ever-changing urban lifecycle, existing as a temporary placeholder and an instigator of evolving cultural curiosities in art, food, retail and events. Our design embraces the vast diversity of a city and encourages the rotation of new ideas and businesses as well as innovative public art installations which come and go like new visitors at the site.HERE FOR NOW creates centers of cultural vibrancy through temporary art and design interventions. As an arts institution without walls, it provides equitable access to enrichment that spans public and private spheres. Through collaborations with artists and arts organizations, HERE FOR NOW works to educate and inspire, leaving a lasting legacy of optimism, promise, and a renewed sense of community.  HERE FOR NOW is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.Together, PROXY + HERE FOR NOW create something special for temporary places.

The 2024 PROXY FALL SERIES presents: <h1>Inside Out 2</h1>Directed by Kelsey Mann, 2024 [PG] “Pixar hit, about core emotions like joy and sadness, and this summer's blockbuster sequel, which focuses on anxiety, have been embraced by educators, counselors, therapists, and caregivers as an unparalleled tool to help people understand themselves” -Melena Ryzik, New York Times Disney and Pixar’s “Inside Out 2” returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone. This film screening is generously sponsored by the local children's clothing and toy store <a href="https://www.shopfiddlesticks.com/" title="https://www.shopfiddlesticks.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Fiddlesticks </a>and happens on a special day (Saturday) and at a special time (7:00 p.m.)! As always, please come early to claim a good spot, enjoy a <a href="http://www.fortpointbeer.com/" title="http://www.fortpointbeer.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Fort Point Beer</a> (or cider!), and non-alcoholic tonics from our very own <a href="https://juiceshop.com/" title="https://juiceshop.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Juice Shop</a>.
