Gallery Concert: Piano Duo, Ralitsa Georgieva and Caroline Oltmanns

Heights Artsis a nonprofit community arts organization in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Founded in 2000, Heights Arts cultivates a strong, diverse, and collaborative arts community by inspiring people of all ages to engage in the arts; supporting the arts through education; providing exhibition and performance opportunities; and fostering public appreciation for the arts.The community’s proximity to University Circle, home to cultural destinations in Cleveland which include the Cleveland Museum of Art and Severance Hall, has created a place rich with artists, performers, art educators, administrators and others who make their livelihood in the performing or visual arts.We contribute to the region’s artistic vitality by showing regional artists at Heights Arts Gallery, facilitating public art and design projects, presenting chamber music and other concerts in intimate settings, nominating and supporting the Cleveland Heights Poet Laureate, and having classes and workshops in the arts. As a multidisciplinary arts organization, we tap into the potential of our creative residents to enrich community life.

Gallery Concerts

Heights Arts’ Gallery Concerts provide paid opportunities for local musicians of diverse backgrounds and musical genres to perform in a unique gallery setting. These concerts are open to the public with a pay-what-you-can model.

Join Heights Arts on September 12, at 7:00 pm for an exciting Gallery Concert featuring Piano Duo, Ralitsa Georgieva and Caroline Oltmanns.Ralitsa Georgieva, a pianist with degrees from the State Conservatory of Music in Bulgaria and the Cleveland Institute of Music, has been a faculty member there since 2007. She has won the Steinway Top Teacher Award three times and the Laura Putnam Award for supporting foster care youth. Ralitsa founded Music for Our Children, a concert series that donates proceeds to charities like UNICEF and Ronald McDonald House, and co-founded Songs of the Books to aid crisis nurseries. She has performed at major festivals and collaborated with prominent musicians and orchestras.Caroline Oltmanns is a pianist, presenter and pedagogue. A Professor of Piano at Youngstown State University, she regularly presents master classes and workshops in the United States and abroad. Her newest solo concept album WIND was released in 2022 on the Filia Mundi Label. Caroline Oltmanns is a Fulbright Scholar, and an International Steinway Artist. She earned her Diploma at the Staatliche Musikhochschule Freiburg and her Master's and Doctoral degrees at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.While this concert is pay-what-you-can admittance, cost is not to be a barrier for any who would like to attend.
