Set your sights and take aim at our Intro to Archery program at <a href="https://bigwaterslandtrust.org/property/myakka-headwaters-preserve/" title="https://www.conservationfoundation.com/your-impact/myakka-headwaters-preserve/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Myakka Headwaters Preserve</a>! Participants will be provided with basic archery instruction, familiarization with equipment, and instruction in shooting techniques. All equipment will be provided for use.Two identical sessions are offered:<ul><li>Session 1 from 9:00 am to 10:00 am is for adult participants ages 16 and older.</li><li>Session 2 from 10:30 am to 11:30 am is for youth participants ages 8 to 15 years old.</li></ul>Please register for the session that corresponds to your age group. Participants under 16 must attend with a parent or guardian during Session 2.This program is sponsored by the Florida Youth Conservation Centers Network and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.Participants should bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing for the outdoors. We recommend sun protection, bug spray, and closed-toe shoes that strap or tie to your feet, no flip-flops. We strongly suggest that you bring a folding lawn or camping chair for the spectator's area! Please note there are no restrooms or water fountains available on site. The nearest restroom is located at <a href="https://goo.gl/maps/BqC8bfeRqbGguYYm9" title="https://goo.gl/maps/BqC8bfeRqbGguYYm9" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Myakka Community Park</a>. Please use the restroom before you arrive.A $5 dollar donation per person is suggested for this program. Your gift will help us save wild places and continue to engage people in nature. We greatly appreciate your support!
