Workshop Leader DomAt 23, after graduating from film school, Dominic became a director on legendary 'youth' current affairs programme, Network 7. He was one of the youngest directors in TV at the time.The next 10 years of his career were spent making documentariesarts programmes and short drama - mostly for the then adventurous remit of the early days of Channel 4. On entering the world of commercials Dominic was quickly included in Campaign magazine’s ’10 Hottest Directors in the World’. He won the coveted D&AD pencil with his first campaign and further work for major clients including VW, Adidas, Virgin and many others won multiple awards worldwide, including two Cannes Gold Lions.Dom’s debut feature, White Lightnin' was written with VICE founder Shane Smith and starred Carrie Fisher and Eg Hogg. The film premiered at Sundance - screened at Berlin and Edinburgh - won Best Film at Mumbai - Best First Feature at FantAsia - Best Film at Dinard - Edinburgh IFF called it ‘jaw-dropping, a true original”Dom's lead actor won - Best Actor at Monterrey and Mumbai IFF - Male Revelation of the Year at Cannes - Most Promising Newcomer at British Independent Film AwardsIn 2009 Dominic began dedicated meditation and mindfulness practice. He has trained with various traditions including withThich Nhat Hanhand with the Triratna movement. He has a strong daily practice and goes on several silent retreats each year. He has supported groups and meditation retreats, as well asMindfulness Based Stress Reduction(MBSR) courses.Workshop Facilitator Vera ChokVera Chok is an actor, writer and performance maker. She is particularly interested in everyday creative expression.Vera co-wrote The Good Immigrant (Book of the Year 2016, #1 Guardian Books, #1 Amazon) and her work has been published by The Guardian and CNN Style. She writes about institutional racism and sexism and binaries. As part of her social engagement, Vera is Advisor to Tête à Tête Opera, and an Ambassador for Fearless Futures, a female-led social justice training programme.Vera’s blogincludes writing about her experience of depression and anxiety.

Award-winning film director and experienced mindfulness practitioner Dom Murphy brings you a fun, inspiring, and challenging workshop using method acting and mindfulness techniques to explore our emotional landscape and creative potential! A safe, inclusive, fun space for exploration. All are welcome.
