Island SPACE, in partnership with the Louise Bennett-Coverley Heritage Council inc., presents an exciting 9-weekend cultural Youth Quadrille and Maypole Dance Workshop, where boys and girls aged 6 to 12 will be immersed in the vibrant traditions of the Caribbean. Led by experienced instructors, participants will learn the art of traditional Maypole and Quadrille dancing, exploring the history, music, and steps of these beloved cultural practices from the English and French-speaking Caribbean regions.

This program promises to instill a deep appreciation for Caribbean heritage and provide a fun-filled learning experience for young dancers.

*Parents must be on-site at Broward Mall with their children during these workshops.

Maypole:

Mrs. Sheryl Earle - School Teacher

Brent Maxwell - Former member of National Dance Theater co. Jamaica and member of the Carimer Theater Group.

Mrs. Nadine Taylor - School Teacher and Member of Jamaican Folk Revue.

Quadrille:
