Description

Session 1 of WWF's new Women's Leadership series focuses on "The Confidence Gap" and the Imposter Syndrome. A strong component in leadership is self-assurance and self-confidence, but several studies show that women often underestimate their own competence, thereby hindering their success. Likewise, many women doubt that they actually deserve the credit they’ve earned after achieving success. Join us as we discuss ways to recognize the thinking that erodes our faith in ourselves and learn how to build the resilience to attain, and claim, our potential as female leaders through participatory conversations.

Women's Leadership Series: At the core of the Foundation’s mission, values and practice is a strong commitment to women’s leadership. New this fall, we designed a special 3-part workshop series to focus on women’s leadership. We hope you will join us to engage in hearty conversations, to feel inspired, to reflect deeper about women's leadership, and to gain motivation and encouragement to reach leadership goals with confidence and joy.

This 3-part series will cover various topics that relate to developing ourselves as leaders, with specific articles and videos serving as launching pads for our conversations. Each gathering will include time to share and reflect on personal leadership; to go deeper on the 'topic of the day'; and to consider a commitment to a 'next step' for our own leadership development and growth. Although serious topics, the gatherings will be fun and build on the WWF commitment to inclusion of women of all ages and who are in different chapters of their lives.

Featuring WWF member Janet Boguch, the dynamic CEO of Non-Profit Works who has provided strategic planning, consulting and coaching to nonprofit organizations and individuals for more than 25 years.
