$85 per Person

Joint renowned restauranteur, entrepreneur, artist, and Dallas-based businessman Phil Romano for a tour of his latest success, Trinity Groves, and dinner at James Beard Best New Restaurant Semi-Finalist Casa Rubia. We are delighted to offer our members this special event that will appeal to foodies, urban planners, entrepreneurs, and those just interested in Dallas.

Trinity Groves is a 15-acre restaurant, retail, artist, and entertainment destination located at the base of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge in West Dallas. Its first phase has focused on restaurants and has become a go-to destination because of its Restaurant Concept Incubator program and established restaurants. We will be led on a tour of the development by one of the project founders, Phil Romano, who will share the inspiration for the development and his vision for its future and impact on Dallas. Romano created six national restaurant concepts - Fuddruckers, Romano's Macaroni Grill, Spageddies, Cozymel's, Rudy's Country Store and BBQ, and eatZi's Market and Bakery - that have generated more than $20 billion in revenue. Among his notable charitable contributions is the establishment of a 501(c)(3). The Food Foundation (dba Hunger Busters) provides food to the hungry and serves over 150,000 hungry schoolchildren in Dallas.

After the tour, Mr. Romano will join up to 40 total Harvard Club members and their guests for dinner. We will enjoy a fixed menu from Casa Rubia, a modern tapas restaurant from Chef Omar Flores and John Baudoin. Casa Rubia recently garnered nationwide attention by being the only Texas nominee for the prestigious Best New Restaurant award from the James Beard Foundation.

Cost for the tour, dinner, and two drinks is $65 per peson, a steal for this unique experience. Spots will be first-come/first-served until the cap is reached. Please note that because of Casa Rubia's size, we will have four tables of ten, two of which will be high-tops with backless seats. We will do our best to accommodate member preferences for seating.
